Welcome

The current installment of the COEC began meeting in 2007.

We are currently on a "break," for no particular reason, and many little reasons - mostly pertaining to life circumstances. If anyone is interested in calling a meeting, feel free to post on the blog, join the google group (see link below) and send an email, or contact either Nancy (nancykj10@yahoo.com) or Jesse (schroeder.jesse@gmail.com) for more information.

To receive cohort emails, join our Google group.

Everything Must Change Tour

Okay.
So I registered for the Everything Must Change/Deep Shift event. It's being held May 9-10, in Goshen, Indiana, at Goshen College. In doing so I got a discount code to share with friends. So, I'm passing this little discount on to you, hoping that it will inspire you to register! Use the code "referral" when checking out, and you will pay $85 total for your registration.
The schedule of events looks awesome and I'm personally looking forward to the Saturday morning emerging cohort members breakfast with Grace and Brian McLaren and the digital art exhibit.
So register and get excited!

Hey Noel, thanks for the info. What are we going to do about lodging? I know a few ideas have been bounced around. Jane and I would love to go, but honestly we have very little money (well, actually negative money...) so we will need a pretty cheap housing situation to be able to make it. We certainly don't need our own room or anything.

Great! Thanks Noel - I think I'm going to buy my ticket this weekend.

Would anyone be up for trying to find lodging w/ like a local church or something? Or a church family? I know we want the flexibility of being close to the conference, but a room will be close to $100 for the night. The other option I guess is sleep like 4 to a room - guys/girls? Anyone else have thoughts?

The event it's self has a blog, and I commented there letting people know we were looking for an opportunity to crash in a church or house. We'll see what we get back.
I also looked on hotels.com, and found we could get a (not so nice) hotel room for about $50 a night. We could do a girls room and a guys room? and split those each 4 ways? ($25 for each person if we stay two nights?)
We could also google for churches in the area and contact them.
