Welcome

The current installment of the COEC began meeting in 2007.

We are currently on a "break," for no particular reason, and many little reasons - mostly pertaining to life circumstances. If anyone is interested in calling a meeting, feel free to post on the blog, join the google group (see link below) and send an email, or contact either Nancy (nancykj10@yahoo.com) or Jesse (schroeder.jesse@gmail.com) for more information.

Celebration of the Faithful

It is time to plan our next celebration which will be this upcoming Sunday, the 10th of Feb. Jane has volunteered to organize a liturgy for us. We had originally said that we would meet at 1:00, but we have a rehearsal, so we are going to meet at 3:00 which should allow most everyone to come. We will have a meal and likely some singing and scripture reading. Jane and I are hosting at 1270 Courtland Ave. and anyone is welcome.

So, we need to plan some food. Please comment and post what you would like to bring.

I'd be happy to make calzones!

That's a great idea Noel. Maybe we can make kind of an Italian meal out of it? Jane and I will make a couple pizzas. Jane makes a good crust.

Italian... yum yum. I'll bring some stuffed mushrooms, which I will now go search the internet to learn what they are. Can I bring some readings for lent to work in with the songs too?

I'll bring some wine :)

My mom sent me another dessert recipe...so I'll give it the ol' college try.

I'll bring a salad and garlic bread.

Andrew,

I don't mind you bringing readings for Sunday at all. That'll be less for me to do, because I haven't thought about the readings yet. I was thinking of reading some poems, though. Maybe we can look at the material we have both brought sometime during the meal and figure out what would work well together.

Wow this meal sounds intense. I don't know what else there is for me to bring. There is already salad, garlic bread, stuffed mushrooms, pizza, calzones and dessert. I feel bad for not ever checking the blog earlier in the week.

Zach, maybe you could bring some soda or something? We don't really have anything for anyone that doesn't want wine, or would just want soda also.
