Welcome

The current installment of the COEC began meeting in 2007.

We are currently on a "break," for no particular reason, and many little reasons - mostly pertaining to life circumstances. If anyone is interested in calling a meeting, feel free to post on the blog, join the google group (see link below) and send an email, or contact either Nancy (nancykj10@yahoo.com) or Jesse (schroeder.jesse@gmail.com) for more information.

Planning our Celebration

Hey everyone, this is the monthly "post what you're going to bring post." So...post what you plan to bring to our meal to avoid repeats. Does anyone have theme ideas? Also, we never settled on a time for the meal. 6:00?

We'll definitely be there - 5 or 5:30 would be a little better for us.

Themes: Mexican - or just appetizers again (although I don't have anything to offer to bring, those are just two kinds of food I like :)

6:00 is a much better time for me.

And I propose we try a "whole foods" (not as in the market, but it is a lovely place to shop) approach to our meal. Local if possible (such a hard time in the season!) and organic? A sustainably themed meal?

I was thinking the same thing, Noel! Creative, tasty, but good-for-you foods!

I'll bring a couple of different kinds of crackers and cheese from Trader Joes.

I really like the idea of the whole food meal - good call Noel!

I'll bring the bread and wine for communion as part of the liturgy.

So, I don't think we ever settled on a time, let's say 5:30 as that seems to be the compromise.
