Welcome

The current installment of the COEC began meeting in 2007.

We are currently on a "break," for no particular reason, and many little reasons - mostly pertaining to life circumstances. If anyone is interested in calling a meeting, feel free to post on the blog, join the google group (see link below) and send an email, or contact either Nancy (nancykj10@yahoo.com) or Jesse (schroeder.jesse@gmail.com) for more information.

Celebration of the Faithful

This weekend we will be meeting at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (aka Zach and Jesse's dad's church) at 5:30p. I'm working on a godfocused liturgy (any musicians who could help out, please, let me know!) for us, and hope that it will be the spiritual communal experience we have been looking for.
We will be eating afterward at Zach's house. We've had a mexican theme suggested, so post what you will bring that may or may not be theme related! Clean up will be extra appreciated as Zach and Jesse's parents return this next week.
If you want to carpool, post here, and we'll make it happen!
Can't wait to see you there!

Incase you need it the address of the church it is 530 McNaughten Rd.
You have to turn east onto Billington from McNaughten to get into the church parking lot though. If you need better directions let me know.

I will have queso and chips and I still have leftover half a loaf of italian bread that should work for communion if someone brings wine. Will we be doing communion at the church or before the meal?

I'd say let's do communion at the church

I think Kel and I are going to bring a creative dish that is like sweet tortilla chips with a fruit "salsa" dip - her students made it in class and she said it was really good

I am very much looking forward to the church service. I'll bring a couple different drinks...beer and does anyone like Arizona iced tea?

Zack, can we use a skillet at your place when we get there? We are making this fajita salad thing, and it is much better fresh. It only takes about five minutes.

Also, we are down for carpooling.

Nancy,
You're welcome to use my skillet.
Anyone who needs to use my kitchen to warm or cook things is welcome to it.
